As someone who has been close to Salvadorians, the stories of the society during and post civil war are chilling. Imagine stories where you will be forced to choose a gang, any of them dangerous, with neutrality impossible. What do you do with a country preyed upon by this kind of violent and dangerous culture? If you want to get an idea, watch the movie about the priest, Oscar Romero, the priest assassinated in mass asking for peace. Read about the School of Américas and the manipulative hand that cultivated this terrible history. Bukele has spoken with incredible clarity on what it takes to end this violence. I don't know if the peaceful people could have changed society in their way by that process, or whether this imprisonment and aggressive locking up for the ends of ending the threatening presence that had so long persisted in El Salvador is ultimately a better justice or higher Good. At the very least, the history of suffering, the artificial culturing of violence, should be considered.
Unfortunately, the globalist cabal has instilled a mindset of collective guilt for our very existence in the west, and a kind of "suicidal empathy" with the very worst of society, which we must understand, once and for all, is NOT compassionate or kind, but self-destructive and very UNKIND to law-abiding citizens who just want to live their lives in peace and stability. Before the LAPD Rampart scandal there was a dead body in the street on a regular basis. Some of the guys from the neighborhood had me watch it, I think they were trying to scare me. Didn't work.

I had no idea why everyone was on the floor and it sounded like firecrackers for the first one. I had my Salvadorian in-law living in Bell Gardens. I remember how the police would charge up to people, jump out of the car, search them, and keep going. The people frisked accepted it as though it were an airport routine. My ex, A Salvadorian, said he saw dead people in the street all of the time as a child. Their mother took them out of the country like refugees. Returning as a college student, he said none of his classmates from childhood was still alive...

I used to live in Echo Park above the lake towards downtown, a kid in his car playing music after working was approached and killed for resisting to give his wallet in front of my building.
