Mix one heaped teaspoon of salt in a mug of warm water. Go into your bathroom and swallow two mouthfuls to sort out anything which has got down there, then cup a hand, pour some of the mix into your cupped hand and sniff or snort the remaining mugful up your nose, in stages until all is gone.

I admire all of you who fast. Great for you. I'm 68. I eat at least 3 large balanced meals a day and drink lots of water, including water mixed with fruit juice, ginger or lemon. I drink green tea every day. I avoid seed oils. I eat something sweet every day. At least also one fruit a day. My meals include carbs because I am physically very active, at least for my age. I have 14% body fat and no belly. I make sure to include cruciferous vegitables in my diet. I almost force myself to eat because I want to retain my muscle mass. I don't see how fasting is going to work for me when I gym, practice and play golf and maintain my own garden. It requires me to mow the lawns, trim the edges, trim hedges and shrubs with petrol driven implements (I have a formal garden) and on top of it I cultivate a flower species of which I have 350 plants in pots that I monitor. I do not have an assistant. I am chairperson of a church committee and sing in a choir that practices weekly. When I play golf I walk the course, I don't ride in a cart. My body needs energy. I don't see an opening where I can switch it off and live in a dazed state for even a day. I see people/experts on youTube who advocate fadting for days on end and who only consume fat and protein, but they are chubby if you look carefully.
